Diplomas in Ministry
St. Francis Seminary offers two programs for those who wish to prepare for holy orders. These courses are offered to those who have not attended theological studies or received an M.Div or similar degree.
These diploma programs are designed to train candidates for service as deacons and priests in the Community Catholic Church. If you already have an MDiv or degree in religious studies, and are seeking ordination, there is separate training stream.
Programs involve online training, Spiritual Direction calls and onsite sessions (in Niagara-on-the-Lake).
1. Diploma in Pastoral Ministry
Seven-month course leading to ordination as a Permanent or Vocational Deacon in the CCCC. (Subject to candidate's readiness)
2. Diploma in Sacramental Ministry
Twelve-month process leading to Priesthood. (prerequisite: ordination to the diaconate) (Ordination takes place subject to candidate's readiness)
